SLAVERY: Role of the church in the anti-slavery movement

“As He died to make men Holy, let us die to make men free. While God is marching on.”
Now, we cannot close without mentioning the CRUSADES (1095-1291). I think they played a huge role in ending slavery, or trying to, being that they were called to aid the church; to counter the Islamic conquests that was capturing, and enslaving Christians and territories in general.

Two Shall Become One Flesh- Marriage?

I’m I wrong in thinking sex out of marriage, before or after, is the underlying reason why marriages are so rough today? We have to figure it out individually and as a society sooner than later, don’t we? What do you think is the reason for the grim picture painted of marriage?

Gratitude/Ingratitude

What are you grateful or ungrateful for? Well…grateful for completing a revolution round the sun🤭 Being grateful; simply meaning thankfulness. Some may believe that gratitude is a state of being (inside), and I would need more education on how that would be; I say gratitude must be accompanied with action and the first action would

Basically, a people engage in two feasts a day (24 hours), for a whole month, and somehow they’ve convinced us

Smart

Why do Christians believe in a personal God?

The idea of blind faith is far from Christianity and the Bible has abundantly offered reason and proof to support the claims it presents. We are called to use all our senses to image God in the world. It’s possible to stumble accidentally on the truth BUT there are inexhaustible evidences you can look into that can cement your confidence in what you believe and be able to proof in ‘court’ to be reasonable and true.

Image of God: Invisible God made Visible

In Mat 22:15,-22.  17. Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” 18. But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? 19. Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius. 20. And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is
