I don’t know who else this happens to, but it happens to me so often that it stopped being weird long ago. It may be my strong intuition or the Holy Spirit or I don’t understand. To me, it cannot be coincidence because of the frequency of happenings. I could literally write a book with the number of times and I’m not exaggerating.
Today, i get this strong feeling about forgiveness. Like heart-beating-fast, almost short of breath. Well, in the background I’m in a situation that i feel i have forgiven but deep down it still hurts…Anyway, I consciously decide to distract myself with ‘u’ tube, and I remember Wahura makes me laugh. I had not watched her content for some time. Upon searching for her ‘u’ tube, i find that she had not been posting since the last video i watched i.e., a year ago. BUT guess what? She has one new video dated like 13 days ago. And… it’s titled forgiveness! I obviously watch it and have a good laugh.
A few moments later,
I decide it’s time to continue reading that book I had paused like 3 weeks ago, with good reason. I open to where my bookmark is and voila! I had stopped where the next chapter is called forgiveness! (I promise i had no recollection of this) I just throw my hands in the air and say! I get it!
You cannot make this up!
And here I am sharing! Before i dive into the chapter, I write, wondering if I have really forgiven this person, noting that forgiveness is a huge deal to me. One because like Wahura, I want to be forgiven by God, and others (I mess up too) but two, because it sets me free whether they’ve asked for it or not, whether they know I’ve forgiven them or not.
A new perspective obtained from Wahura’s video is that there’s a difference between forgiving the action itself and the impact it caused. Maybe I’m struggling to forgive the impact it caused.
May God help me and us with forgiveness because it really is freeing and we cannot afford to live life in the prison of unforgiveness.

My two cents will be quoted straight from the Lord’s prayer ‘forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us’.

I think forgiveness happens when you heal from what hurt to start with. It comes in waves and it requires self-compassion to achieve.
Also, what’s a better nudge than encountering synchronicities?
