Let’s talk about love.
It’s a different kind of love
A love that most people neglect to talk about; Philia
A genuine bond between two friends
Sometimes it’s from childhood, sometimes from schooling, sometimes it surprises you when you meet a random stranger at a random camp and the rest is history, bonds forged in military, etc
You may not feel butterflies when you come across it as you do Erotic love; it doesn’t require romantic feelings
Some say it’s the highest form of love
Of course, I say Agape is but I digress: they say this is because it can develop into romantic love
Usually is between same sex but occasionally between the opposite
It’s raw, pure even
Stronger than storge (familial) love, mostly
At its peak, these mates can die for each other
It’s them against the world
When you find it, it’s a treasure: your won and you don’t want to live without them
When you lose it, it’s a tragedy: your world will crumble and you will mourn
